This MyBloodHealth release adds HerCare clinical impact reporting for hypertension, high-risk maternal health, postpartum hemorrhage, and severe obstetric complications. If you have the HerCare module, you can access these new reports from the Reports tab. You can filter all of these reports by facility, provider, case type, and date range and export report data to an Excel file by clicking the Export Data button.

For MyBloodHealth administrators, we have also added a Read Only user role you can assign to limit access for users who don’t provide patient care.

New HerCare Reports

The HerCare Clinical Impact Report: Hypertension is a bar chart that compares the incidence of severe maternal hypertensive cases between treated and untreated anemic patients. This report uses these criteria:

• Anemic patient:  Patients who have hemoglobin levels less than 13 g/dL.

• Severe hypertension event: Two or more blood pressure readings of Systolic BP ≥ 160 mmHg or Diastolic BP ≥ 110 mmHg, spaced at least 15 minutes apart.

• Treatment: Treated with an anti-hypertensive.

The HerCare Clinical Impact Report: Early Maternal Risk Identification is a stacked bar graph showing the percentage of HerCare patients who are high-risk. The green part of the graph shows the percentage of patients who were identified in their first trimester (up to 13 weeks and 6 days), and the blue part of the graph shows the percentage of patients who were identified during their second trimester (up to 27 weeks and 6 days). High-risk patients are defined as having one or more high-risk flags for age, race, multiple births, anemia, iron deficiency, or recently pregnant.

The HerCare Clinical Impact Report: Postpartum Hemorrhage is a bar chart showing the difference in the postpartum hemorrhage incidence rate between HerCare patients who have had an anemia management treatment and those who haven’t.

The new HerCare Severe Obstetric Complications report is a trendline that shows how the rate of obstetric complications has changed over time. This report pulls data based on admission and discharge codes for hemorrhage, eclampsia, sepsis, uterine rupture, ICU admission, and emergency hysterectomy. It also includes complication data for obstetric diagnoses of hemorrhage, uterine atony, placenta previa, placenta accreta, surgical trauma, and surgical tear.

Read Only User Role

The new Read Only User role gives a user permission to view the client worklist, reports, and the dashboard for the facilities that have been selected for them. Users with this role cannot modify records or add communications.

To assign the Read Only user role:

1. From the Users tab, click a user’s name to edit an existing user or click the Add User button. If you are adding a new user, fill in the First Name, Last Name, and Email boxes.

2. In the User Roles section, check the Read Only box.

3. In the User Facilities section, check the facilities that you want the user to be able to view.

4. Click the Save User button.

Other Improvements

We now clearly mark when a patient can’t be reactivated because their status was changed to completed, cancelled, or inactive more than 30 days ago. When you navigate to the patient record from the worklist, the Activate button is grayed out. If you hover your mouse pointer over the button, a tooltip appears with the message, “Unable to complete action after 30 days.”
